Although they may be after the apple blossoms in my garden, it gives me a real thrill to see the rich, salmon red of the male Bullfinch. I was moved to create this print after a conversation with a couple at Sussex Prairie Garden a few of years ago.
Wood Engraving (80 yr old prepared block - a gift ); each one hand printed on Fabriano traditional white 300gsm paper with black linseed oil based relief printing ink, then hand tinted with watercolour.
Unframed 28cm x 23cm.
